Since all WPBundle themes are powered by the WooThemes Framework, if you can’t find the answer you’re looking for here, be sure to check out their videos for even more help. If you still can’t find the answer, please post in our Support Forum.

Creating the Custom Homepage

Note: The "Roaming: Live" child theme does not support the Custom Homepage template. Roaming Live was designed to be a simpler version or Roaming, meant for less content. Because of this, the content-driven custom homepage isn’t utilized.

To take full advantage of Roaming, it is important to apply the custom homepage template. To do this, simply create a new page in WordPress called “Home.” Then apply the “Homepage” Page Template. Publish this post. Create a new page called “Blog” leaving the content area blank. Publish this post.

Next, visit the Settings > Reading screen, and where it shows “Front page displays:” Select “a static page.” For the Front Page select box, select the “Home” page. For the Posts Page select the “Blog Page.”

Important: If you are having trouble with this we’ve created a helpful video

Adding Events

Roaming supports simple event oriented posts. These posts allow you to set an event date and time, a location, and a website. To get started adding events, simply visit “Events > Add New.” Add a title to the event, and some more details in the content area. Select an Event Type (more can be added by visiting “Events > Event Types”) and upload a featured image (this will appear in the slider, so it needs to be at least 1290x450px). Then on the top right, select an event date.

Adding Spotlights

Spotlights are normal posts assigned to the category you selected as Spotlights. Simply add a post and assign it to your selected category.
