Works in Progress

Joining Forces with WooThemes

As many of you know, we’ve been working hard building our themes and putting together a product that people are going to love. We’ve been looking to improve the quality of the bundle at every given opportunity, and that leads us to todays announcement. It’s official, and we’re finally able to announce that we’ve partnered… Read More »

Another Gallery

This isn’t strictly a “gallery theme” or a theme that focuses on image posts, but even still: we want to make sure that anyone using images a lot in this theme has the choice, and that they look as good as they can when they do. The Zoom icon and filename fade in on hover.

Early Stages

Here’s just a quick snippet at a few details from a design which is still in the very early stages. This particular theme is going to allow for different types of posts and a different layout for each “type” of post. Still a lot to do but we’re happy with how this is looking already.

bbPress Detail Shot

Here’s a quick sneak peek at some details of the upcoming bbPress theme. We’ve paid a lot of attention to the small details within the theme, it’s still work in progress and we’ve got a few changes to make, but hopefully you can appreciate some of the subtle details in this shot.

bbPress Theme

We’re hoping to build this theme in bbPress. We decided to focus on building a forum design that was focused on conversations and easy interaction. We almost wanted to make the theme look like an app too, which explains some of the styling choices here.

Exciting times ahead

It’s been a while since the KickStarter project failed to reach it’s goal, but we’d just like to thank everybody who did pledge for their support, and the good news is that WPBundle is still very much in full swing. We’ve had some fantastic comments, and for such a new venture we’re really excited to… Read More »

A Busy City

Some sites have lots of things going on, so it’s important to be able to display them in a fun and organized way. This theme allows for upcoming events, blog posts, featured galleries, and much more.

Post Information

Subscription box, social links, and RSS feeds are expected on most sites these days. The integration of these elements directly into the blog posts is sure to increase the involvement of your visitors.

Product Showcase

Share some details about your product with some meta information under the image slider. Call-to-action buttons engage the users creating a content-rich featured area.

About the Authors

This About page is just one of the custom page templates included in the themes. We try to include at least a few custom pages per theme to extend the functionality, and provide an original look to multiple pages.

Testimonials

Everyone is more comfortable after reading testimonials. Display what your customers have to say with ease and beauty.

User Submitted Content

The Knowledgebase theme comes with a custom form that allows user to submit/suggest new content. The content is added to the control panel in `draft` state, and can be approved by a publisher.

Sidebar Widgets

Custom & Standard sidebar widgets mesh perfectly. Most themes will come with at least a few custom widgets that further enhance the functionality of the website.

Image Feature Slider

This massive full-width featured image slider adds a great center piece to the website. Display your gorgeous photos without having to compromise the size or quality.

Interaction Bar

A bar at the bottom of the page creates a great point of interaction. Subscribe, Follow on Twitter, Contact, and search links allow the user to easily gather any additional information they may need.

Knowledgebase Overview

A completely different use for WordPress. Create a Knowledgebase for your product with questions, documentation, and resources. jQuery live search and sorting make navigating a dream.

Pricing Page

This shot is taken from the product pricing page of one of our upcoming themes. Perfect for anybody looking to sell a product or service online, make your product pricing clear, easy to scan & understand to avoid confusion on such an important page.

Photo Blog; Post View

In this Photo Blog theme we’re keeping it open to be used as Either a Photo Blog, a photo gallery, or just a blog. In this case we see the blog side of things, perfect for a photo blogger, or just a standard blog format. This is just one of many available styles.

Project Screenshot Browser

A image slider on a “project” page. Ideal for use as a case study style post or even simply as a gallery to work inside a post. With simple and easy to use functions you can browse either a few or a huge collection of images with ease.

Photo Gallery Grid View

You’ve already seen a snap from this theme, but this is a shot from the photo gallery in grid view. We’ve tried to keep the images organized and spaced out in a way that doesn’t  confuse the eye. It’s important that your gallery is interactive & inviting, so we’ve made that a priority here

Bottom of Page & Footer

A quick snap of a theme we’re making using lots of textures and patterns together with a nature inspired colour scheme. Really excited about this one. Just a reminder: There’s only 19 days to go for you to grab the bundle for only $80. That’s less than half price before July 4th.

Navigation Texture & Detail

In this shot we can see some of the texture & detail that’s gone into this navigation bar. There’s a hint of texture on both the feature background image and the nav bar. We’ve built the texture with transparent .png files so you can easily change the background colour & keep the texture in place.

Ask Us Anything

We’ve set up a simple and easy way for you to ask a question. With FormSpring all questions & answers will be on public display, it’s a great place to find answers, as well as ask your own questions. No signup needed, quick and easy, simply ask a question or suggest an idea.

More WPBundle Icons

We had some amazing comments on the few icons we showed previously. Here’s another look at a select few extra icons. We’ve scaled the home icon up so you can have a closer look at the work that goes into each icon, pixel by pixel. Let us know your thoughts via Twitter.

Photo Blog Gallery

We’re working on building a photo blog style theme into the core bundle. The focus will be on showing off your photos in a way that is engaging and interactive, but ultimately in a way that gives your images a stage to look beautiful on.

We’re Using GNU Gettext

The use of GNU gettext by WordPress allows for themes to be easily localized. Our themes provide the necessary tools for translators to localize the themes, allowing them to be functional in any language you can think of.

Icon Set

A sneaky glance at just a few icons from the Icon set we will be including in the Bundle. Anyone who backs the project during pre-launch for $80 will also receive additional icons built for backers only. We will be posting more shots of the icons as we lead up to the WPBundle Launch.

Quote Or Notice Box Detail

A closer look at the dark Quote Or Notice Box, in this screenshot you can see more of the soft (and we mean soft) details. Custom fonts are optional but in this example we feel it really helps with the overall look of the quote or notice box.

Quote or Notice Box

Another Quote or Notice Box style we’ve implemented. There’s a hint of texture to add a little “realism” to the paper it sits on too. This particular quote box features optional custom fonts that you can turn off or on. A detailed screenshot follows this post.

Download Notice Box

Sometimes within a document, a useful link can get lost within the article. We’ve tackled that problem by creating a featured notice box for downloads or links. They’re not only pretty, but incredibly useful, you get the info you need about a link before opening it.

End of post Author Bio

We wanted to make the author bio in this theme an area that people would notice, a nice big image & title, as well as some useful works & links from the author takes care of that. Below the author bio there’s many useful tabs & options relating to the post / author too.

FAQ Question Display

This question / quote box will form part of a FAQ / Knowledgebase style theme. The response below is in the form on an article or document which website owners can write in response to user submitted questions, and then publish them online for anyone who has a similar problem.

Here’s a small close up photo of a “share this” button drop-down. You can see we’ve stripped away the usual cluttered crap you see all too often with these features. A short URL is very useful for sharing these days, and you can pick & choose the most useful other services to go below.

Knowledgebase Shot

We’ve kept the design of this base theme really lightweight and simple. We’ll be offering more detailed alternatives at the time of launch, but the functionality of this theme is what stands out, it’s focus is on displaying faq’s and useful resources and making them really easy to navigate.

Click to Play Screenshot

This is a screenshot of one of the Themes. Here you can see the level of detail that goes into each theme. We’ve paid particular attention to the spacing of the elements, as lists of content and collections of images can get a little cramped and too busy, but we’ve kept things open & simple.

Notice box Detail

Another closer look at some of the details in the notice box we’ve created for the FAQ/Knowledgebase theme. The actual notice itself has a slight hint of texture, and the fonts differ from the actual content text, this give your noticed the chance to stand out and actually get read.

Custom 404 Error Pages

We’re building in a custom 404 page for each theme, these unique pages will help direct your customers back to something useful, rather than just showing them a boring standard error message. It sparks a little bit of fun into your site, and also gets the point across quite clearly.

Form Validation

In this shot we can see how form validation works on input boxes. We’ve built this feature into many of our themes. This helps your users save time as they are inputting data by letting them know quite clearly which fields have been entered correctly, and those that require some attention.

Interactive Video Selection

We’ve implemented a really beautiful looking system on the product page for this theme. It allows you to upload videos or images of your products in action and display them in a truly engaging way. The use of the icons and the helpful tooltips make your videos more inviting to click & play.

Product Showcase Slider

A photograph of the main project / product showcase feature we’ve built in to one of our themes. This particular theme will come with extra design resources to help you make your products look as good as they can within the showcase, or to make your screenshots stand out like in this example.

Download our Logos

If you’re looking to blog about us we’ve made it easy for you to include a good looking logo in your post. Feel free to also use any of the screenshots that are available on the archive page in your blog posts, and please try to not modify the screenshots or the logo in any… Read More »
